Tamagawaya was a local grocery store locals relied on as the smaller veggie shops down the street and around the corner closed. I loved how they had stock photos of food on their awning. For a while, this neighborhood didn’t have a market and so Tamagawaya was one of the few places you can grab a pack of smokes, snacks and veggies. They seem to have closed in 2022.

The prints are made using the finest materials, such as high-quality canvas, printmaking paper, and Japanese washi paper.

たまがわやは、通りや角にあった小さな八百屋が閉まっていく中で、地域住民が頼りにしていた地元の食料品店でした。私は、お店のひさしに貼られた食品のストック写真が好きでした。一時期、この近所にはスーパーがなかったので、たまがわやはタバコやお菓子、野菜が買える数少ない場所のひとつでした。2022年に閉店したようです。
